ABC Committees

The Association of Black Conservatives has five standing committees responsible for carrying out the programs and governance of the organization. Individuals interested in joining a committee must be an active member of the Association of Black Conservatives. Standing Committees

1.  Policies and Bylaw Committee

The policies and bylaws committee shall be responsible for strategy and planning related to national, provincial and regional public policy matters.

2. Membership and Outreach Committee

The membership and outreach committee shall be responsible for the recruitment and retention of Members, and in so doing shall promote awareness of the Corporation, develop recruitment drives, and coordinate strategic partnerships with other organizations that will drive membership growth.

3. Audit and Finance Committee

The audit and finance committee shall be responsible for oversight related to the Branch’s auditing and reporting, financial policies and strategies, and financial risk management.

4. Governance Committee

The governance committee shall be responsible for ensuring, on a continuing basis, that the National Council and each Provincial Council is composed of qualified and skilled persons capable of, and committed to, providing effective governance leadership to the Corporation and Branch, as the case may be.

5. Communications Committee

The communications committee shall be responsible to oversee, develop and implement the Corporation’s communications strategies and activities on internal and external in a manner that enhances the reputation of the Corporation.
